Mentor-Mentee Program

Program Details

This 2023 - 2024 school year, we will continue our Mentor-Mentee Program! This program offers members an exclusive way to network and grow professionally, personally, and socially with their fellow Women in Economics, enhancing their opportunities from what our organization already offers.

Mentees: For incoming freshman and new members of Women in Economics, we encourage you to apply as a mentee. Their roles include:

  • Reaching out to Mentors for help in regards to WIE or anything else,

  • Attending WIE meetings, events, and other socials with their Mentor,

  • Meeting other Aggies and sharing experiences together.

Mentors: Ideally, Mentors will be upperclassmen/returning members since they have experience within college and Women in Economics. Their roles include:

  • Guiding Mentees to have a successful academic year,

  • Helping Mentees prepare their resumes, interview etiquette and steps to take both during and after the interview/internship process,

  • Prepare Mentees for class registration,

  • Being a support system for the Mentee.

WIE seeks to provide a community at Texas A&M and this program is a great way to meet other amazing, like-minded Women in Economics who will help you to achieve your overall life goals.

Please fill out this interest form if you want to become a mentor/mentee. The Applications for the 2023 - 2024 Mentor-Mentee program will close on 09/29/2023.
